Here’s the breakdown, by brand, of each seasonal protein bar with links of where you can buy them this holiday season.
Rise Protein Bars
Even though Rise protein bars have been around since 2010, this brand was a new one for us. Rise protein bars offer both vegan pea protein based bars as well as whey protein based bars. Both bars boast a high amount of protein and a ton of flavors. We can’t wait to get our hands on this one!

ONE Protein Bar
ONE brand protein bars have been a favorite of mine for some time. Possibly because the birthday cake flavored bar is the best one on the market (in my opinion). All of their one bars are packed with 20g of protein which is crazy high! They also have some plant based options and tend to have very minimal sugar amounts.

Iced Gingerbread
Nutrition overview:
- 20g protein
- 23g carbs
- 9g fiber
- 9g fat
- 1g sugar
Rating: 3.5 stars
RXBAR Protein Bar
For the purists out there, there isn’t a bar more pure in ingredients than the RXBAR brand protein bar. Dates do cause the sugar amounts to be higher but you could argue that’s better than lower sugar from artificial ingredients. If you have never had an RXBAR, be warned that the texture is much different than a traditional protein bar. Personally I am a big fan though and have enjoyed this flavor regularly.

Gingerbread
Nutrition overview:
- 12g protein
- 24g carbs
- 4g fiber
- 9g fat
- 14g sugar
Rating: 3.7 stars
Luna Bar
Luna bar comes from the Clif Bar company as geared more towards women. It comes in a ton of flavors, many of which I’ve tried before and loved. While they don’t have as much protein as some of the other bars on this list, Luna bars are usually really tasty.
To me, these bars tend to taste more like candy bars than your typical chalky protein bar. I hope that their holiday seasonal protein bar is no exception and that I can get my hands on one to try soon!

Chocolate Peppermint Stick
Nutrition overview:
- 8g protein
- 28g carbs
- 3g fiber
- 6g fat
- 8g sugar
Rating: 4.7 stars
CLIF Bars
Speaking of protein bars that are like candy, CLIF bars tend to have higher amounts of sugars than most protein bars. For cyclists especially, this sugar boost is really appealing and lends to trying tasty flavors.
With Iced Gingerbread getting almost a 5 star rating, it makes you want to rush to the shelves to try one out yourself!
