CrossFit has a bunch of benchmark workouts and barbell movements that you can track to see how you improve year over year. But whether you are doing CrossFit at home or at your local gym, you may be wondering, “how do I track my CrossFit workout?”. With dozens of free and paid app options available right on your phone, tracking your CrossFit workouts is easier than ever.
We’ve gathered a list of our four favorite free apps that are currently available on iOS or Android. Take a look through the list to determine how you want to track your CrossFit workout!
Best Apps to Track CrossFit Workouts

1. SugarWOD
SugarWOD is our number one recommendation when someone asks how do I track my CrossFit workout. It might not be coolest looking app you have ever seen but it’s easy to use and it offers a lot of features for free.
What is nice about SugarWOD is you don’t have to be a member of a gym to reap the app’s benefits. With the free version you can log your latest benchmark workout within the large library offered in the app. The app also breaks down your 1, 2 3, and 5 rep maxes per barbell lift movement so you don’t have to.
If you’re a gym looking for an app to offer your athletes, this is the app for you. Check out SugarWOD’s pricing depending on the amount of members you may have.
SugarWOD is available on iOS and Android.

2. Wodster
Wodster is an app that is made for the at home CrossFit athlete. Being able to access a library of workouts, a timer, or track your PRs in one app is such a nice experience. The app also features a “Random WOD” option for those days when you can’t decide.
The only thing you may find that wodster is lacking is the ability to connect on a community level. Unlike SugarWOD, this app doesn’t have a community feature.
Wodster is available on iOS and Android. Expect in-app purchases.

3. WODBook
WODBook has SugarWOD vibes in that it allows you to connect with your local CrossFit gym or do your own at home version of CrossFit. WODBook does an excellent job of helping you answer “how do I track my CrossFit workout” because of how easy it is to use.
The list of free features is a long one. You can track your PRs, check out the long list of CrossFit benchmark WODs or use the built-in timer. What the app does charge for in its Pro version is the WOD machine. WOD machine is not your average workout generator in that the more you use the app and enter data, the more it can tailor a custom workout, specific to you.
WODBook is available on Android. The Pro version is currently available as an in-app purchase for $2.99.

4. Hero WOD
With almost a 5 star rating, the Hero WOD app has the coolest looking interface of all the WOD apps (in our opinion at least). Perfect for the CrossFit traveler, just plug in the equipment you have available that day and choose from a list of workouts.
Another stand out feature of the Hero WOD app is the WOD recorder. If you’re an athlete trying to compete or just curious of ways to improve your form, the recording feature is an essential tool. Not to mention the app also has a built-in timer, workout log and even a list of warmups. The Hero WOD app stands out from the rest of the apps in providing you a next level amount of features.
Hero WOD is available on iOS and Android.
